The Glorious Sons are here to whip the crowd into a frenzy at Stage AE on September 6, 2023! It’s a glorious year for this Ontario-based rock group, as the event marks the beginning of their two-leg 2023 North American tour entitled “The Glory Tour.” Dubbed as blue-collar poets and stage-kicking rockers for the modern age, the band is globally recognized for landing a Juno award for “Best Rock Album of the Year” in 2017 for their second album, “Young Beauties and Fools” and again in 2019 for “War on Everything.” Audiences are in for a real treat because the hard rock band is not alone! The Blue Stones, a Canadian blues rock duo famous for their hit "Rolling with the Punches," will accompany them on their tour, which covers gigs over multiple cities in the US and Canada. Turn your Wednesday night into a rock and roll feast, and secure your tickets now!
As part of their “The Glory Tour,” The Glorious Sons will rock the night at Stage AE on Wednesday, September 6, 2023! The event will feature special guest, The Blue Stones for this concert date.
The United States will welcome the first half of the tour, with performances in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Denver, and other cities from late September to mid-October. The tour resumes in November with the Canadian leg, which kicks out in Victoria on November 10. From there, the band will travel to Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal, Halifax, and many other cities.
Based out of Kingston, Ontario, The Glorious Sons were founded in 2011 with main members including Jay Emmons, Andrew Young, Adam Paquette, Chris Huot, and Brett Emmons. The band's debut EP, “Shapeless Art,” received favorable reviews, and the group's vivacious live performances only added to their success as an up-and-coming rock band.
Eight straight singles from the Glorious Sons have reached the Top Ten since their debut album, “The Union,” was released in 2014. Three of those singles, namely, "Everything Is Alright," "S.O.S. [Sawed Off Shotgun]," and "Panic Attack,” have risen to the number one spot in the charts.
“For me, the rock genre needs to talk about now,” singer Brett Emmons explains to Classic Rock, “and exploit some of the stuff they didn’t have in the seventies. Modern tech can really break a song wide open, you can let your imagination run wild and be free.”
“Though young, this is a band growing in confidence and industry clout. They know where they’ve been and seem sure of where they are headed,” The Times Colonist shares about their recent performances.
