A force in the reggae rock scene, the band is one of the most prolific purveyors of mixing reggae and punk rock. They made their breakthrough in 2005 upon releasing the album Closer to the Sun. The effort entered the Billboard 200, making it the band’s first record to enter the chart. It also topped the Heatseekers chart, giving Slightly Stoopid their first number 1 ranking. By the 2012, the band had achieved international stardom with their seventh album Top of the World making it into the charts in several countries. In 2018, their latest album Everyday Life, Everyday People hit number 1 on Billboard’s reggae chart, their first number one under that category.
