For this upcoming WAMO 107.3 Fall Fest, fans can look forward to NoCap’s Billboard charting hits. Since emerging as a rapper under Never Broke Again music imprint in 2017, NoCap has steadily risen to hip-hop stardom. He dropped his first EP, Joker, and received much critical acclaim. The following year, he released his single, “Legend,” which served as his breakout hit after receiving over a million views on Youtube. The song later appeared on debut mixtape, Neighborhood Hero.
In 2019, NoCap finally appeared on the Billboard charts when his sophomore mixtape, The Backend Child, peaked and entered the Billboard 200. The highly-acclaimed work was able to spawn NoCap’s biggest hit single, “Ghetto Angels.” That same year, NoCap came out with another mixtape, The Hood Dictionary, peaking at number 39 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
After a fairly busy 2019, NoCap followed with Steel Human, a 16-track mixtape that features collaborations with Lil Uzi Vert, DaBabt, Boosie, Badazz, and Jacquees. The album featured the lead single, “Count a Million,” which debuted at number 31 on the Billboard 200. It would be another two years before NoCap released another effort. However, he came back stronger than ever with highly-regarded work.
In 2022, NoCap dropped his debut studio album, Mr. Crawford. The album, which became his highest charting effort on the Billboard 200 at number 8, spawned the hit single “Vaccine.” upon releasing the effort, NoCap expressed his excitement on social media. "I’m probably more excited about this album than y’all, I keep making changes last minute, switching songs 'cause I make new music every day, and I want this bitch perfect. I come from ZERO. I put my heart & soul into this shit.”
After the stellar success of Vaccine, the album later dropped the follow-up singles “I’ll Be Here,” “Shackles to Diamonds,” and Save the Day.”
