Post-hardcore lunatics Dayseeker are setting off on their highly anticipated world tour this year, and you could be a part of it if you wanted to. Dayseeker have been on the scene since 2012. Although they certainly look (and sound) different now with members coming and going, they have remained a post-hardcore powerhouse at their very core. After recording a series of demos, Dayseeker were immediately signed and released their debut album soon after. This was just the beginning of their impressive race to the top of modern punk rock. Back in 2012, Dayseeker was just a tiny basement band performing their demos at local Orange County shows. Just a year later, they were touring the United States with melodic metalcore forces of nature Kingdom of Giants. What happened in between those few months? First, Dayseeker signed to InVogue Records and began working on their debut album. In 2013, they finally had material worth publishing; they released their debut studio album, What It Means To Be Defeated, in October 2013. From that point on, things spiraled out of control in the best possible way. They went from opening for substantial bands within the scene to headlining tours around the globe. Dayseeker have been hard at work for over a decade, delivering fans diversely influenced music that always, always packs a punch. From pop-punk to metalcore, their inspiration comes from all walks of life. Their music isn’t easily defined, and stylistically, it tends to change album to album. That’s why the release of their latest album was so exciting; it features acoustic renditions of a handful of their past work, plus covers of other famed metal bands.
