The quintet from Nebraska made their phenomenal debut in 1993 with their Music. The album was quick to make a breakthrough with hits like “Do You Right,” “Freak Out,” and “Feels So Good.” So it was no mystery that the record charted in Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. By 1995, 311 dropped their self-titled third effort and the record went straight to number 1 on Heatseekers, as well as charting at number 12 on the Billboard 200. The album, which features titles like the chart topping alternative hit, “Down,” “All Mixed Up,” “Don’t Slay At Home,” and more became the band’s best selling work to date and earned triple platinum status in the U.S. The band had demonstrated incredible longevity over the years and continued to headliner tours and festivals across North America in beyond. In 2004, 311 dropped their second number 1 hit, “Love Song,” their only single to make it into the Billboard Hot 100. Considering 311 had always had a niche but large following, it was an incredible feat. Last year, the band treated fans to their latest work, Full Bloom, which was preceded by singles “You’re Gonna Get It” and the title track.
