Kraftwerk at The Stage AE

Although it's hard to describe the Kraftwerk experience, here's a crack at doing just that. One of the first things that people who are uninitiated may want to know is whether this is going to be a party. These guys practically invented electronic music, and from all accounts, these types of events are always a party, so it's a yes to that. As mentioned, you'll be up on your feet vibing before you know it. The Kraftwerk experience, however, is way more than just a party.

When they started out, a lot of their tracks referenced technology or the fear of nuclear annihilation. Back when these guys got their start, those things went hand in hand. They are a German band, so at the time, the West still had its suspicions about them. The band obviously played into that and the Cold War tensions even more. It was almost like they were the villains of a modern sound that was actually still decades away from really taking the world by storm. Still, it was new, and as electronic music has always done, it provided a ton of incredible beats that were quickly adopted by the party scene. After 50 years, they're still going strong, and audiences can feel the same chills that they did all those years ago, particularly when they play songs like "Das Model" and "Computer Love." In fact, modern audiences who are new to the experience might feel like "Judgment Day," the one that Arnold Schwarzenegger talked about in The Terminator, is upon us! Being in the crowd for something like that is amazing. That's for sure!
