Hailing from Long Beach, California, Cold War Kids is a sensational indie rock band. Kicking off operations in 2004, the five piece have carved up a sound that rises from Tom Waits, Billie Holiday, Nick Cave, and U2. Together, they created their own evolving sound, from the stomping blues-punk of 2006’s debut Robbers & Cowards to the slick alternative rock of 2011's Mine Is Yours. The masterminds behind Cold War Kids, Nathan Willett, Matt Maust, David Quon, Matthew Schwartz, and Joe Plummer, recently dropped a hot new record.

Their new self-titled album comes after the incredibly popular 'New Age Norms' trilogy. Almost two decades after the band launched, Cold War Kids arrived in November 2023 through AWAL, and it’s already scored rave reviews! “Cold War Kids have truly outdone themselves with this release, unveiling a previously unexplored facet of their musical prowess,” says Spill Magazine.
