Something about Chevelle that all rockers love is the fact that they’re always tweaking. Each album has its own identity, each song has something different – it’s all about progress and evolving, and Chevelle has that down to the point.
The multi-platinum power duo smashed into the rock scene in 1999 with their debut album, “Point #1”. Chevelle moves through genres as fast as a rock-concert superfan who wants to get as close to the stage as possible. “Point #1” somewhat resembles Indie Rock, while “Wonder What’s Next”, boasting the double platinum hits “Send The Pain Below” and “The Red”, moved in the direction of nu-metal. Top 10 Billboard debuts “La Gargola” and “The North Corridor” have a more riff-heavy approach and intense lyrics. Chevelle also just released a new studio album, “NIRATIAS”, drawing on frontman Pete Loeffler’s fascination with space travel, simulation theory, and a skepticism of the unknown with a new approach: progressive and art rock. Ain’t no boring when it comes to Chevelle, and the exceptional quality of their music landed them three Billboard Music Award nominations and five Loudwire Music Awards nominations, among others.
