The rising country musicians of Castlewood, Virginia, are making their way into one of the most prominent spots in the national music scene. 49 Winchester is excited to announce more to their music as an independent Southern rock group reaching unimaginable heights for their career. They made a big break in their recent release of “Fortune Favors The Bold” in 2022, where they were able to make an impression on country music fans. The album is a true symbol of their hard work and passion as an inspiring country rock band. Beloved for their soothing melodies, rousing chants, and skillful instrumentations, the sextet isn’t planning to stop the music train going. With constant touring and performing across local venues and more national opportunities, the band is ready to take on this year’s challenge. With a lifelong dream and a vision for music, the band is going nowhere but up!

“We’re a lot better musicians than three or four years ago,” Gibson, the lead vocalist and guitarist, said. “We worked on our chops in front of people.”

The group is proud to have built a strong foundation in their craft, as their career is an embodiment of genuine musical brotherhood and good old Appalachian country soul music. Formed eight years ago in the heart of Russell County, Isaac Gibson and Chase Chaffin rounded a group of young, talented musicians who shared a vision of country rock music. They toured, performed in festivals, and played in breweries and dive bars across Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, and Kentucky. Releasing independent albums and gaining attention from across the state, the band has truly come a long way.

49 Winchester is excited to announce the “49 Winchester Spring Tour ’24” that will kickstart this February!
