The War On Drugs stay true to their indie roots, with their sublime mix of sound that takes influence from Sonic Youth, Neil Young and Kings of Leon. Along with their cool Philadelphia style and poetical lyrics. The band formed back in 2003, when Adam Granduciel and Kurt Vile met at a party, their conversation led to musical tastes and as soon as they realized their common fascination of the exact same artists – The War On Drugs were born.

The War On Drugs takes you back in time, to the 1980's – 90's, when indie was first breaking through, their perfectly crafted minimalistic sound is hypnotic and reassuring.
